Beer cocktails like the beer Bloody Mary

rworange | Jul 4, 200607:36 PM     10

So this question is coming from a discussion about a Mexican beer cocktail called a chevela - 1 part Clamato; 2 parts Beer; 1 squirt Lemon Juice; 3 dashes Tabasco Sauce; 2 drops Worchester Sauce. More here.

Another poster wrote:

"I've been wondering if chavela is related to tomato-beer (can of Coors plus a can of tomato juice) that's popular with the contractors crowd at lunch counters. That's not a new thing. Maybe the folks on the "Beer" board know."

Does anyone know?

Googling around, it seems the Beer Bloody Mary with a raw egg is a known hangover cure ... actually there are quite a few mentions of pairing it up with menudo.

I came across this article about beer cocktails.

I don't know why the thought of beer cocktails make me queasy, but that chevela is pretty darn good. I was wondering if there are any other good combos that I am missing out on?
