What can I use instead of beer to make Brisket?

I am planning on trying Rachael Ray's Mexican style Brisket. It calls for 12oz of Mexican style beer. Of course I forget to get the beer when I was shopping yesterday and I live in a state where it is illegal to buy alcohol on sunday so I can't just go pick some up. I have ginger ale, Apple cider, cider vinegar, bourbon, and brandy in my house as well as beef, veggie, chicken and cheese rind stocks. Can I use any of these instead? What would work best?
