Best Beef Cut for Searing? Hanger?

What's the best cut to do a skillet sear with salt and pepper and some fat? No oven time, just a quick sear each side on high? I've heard hanger steaks are good for this, what other cuts? (hanger isn't always available.)

Additionally, what do you sear it on? Is cast iron the best?
