BBQ in Dayton, OH

S Smith | Sep 3, 200410:54 AM     2

My brother and I were drivng from Toronto to Dayton to see the USAF Museum at the Wright-Patterson AFB (by the way, if you have any interest in military aircraft, this is your Mecca). The museum is so extensive that it required us to stay over. We went out after the museum closed looking for chow. There was the usual littany of boring chain restaurants which we bypassed. We did however, come across a place just west of the AFB called 'The Old Hickory BBQ'. It was a sit in/take out type of place. The food and service was good, but it was a bit pricey. I had the chicken and rib combo with wedge fries, and my brother had chicken and a baked potato. If your in Dayton and looking for a delicious, fast food, non-chain restaurant, then check out The Old Hickory BBQ.
