If you're in the area, I'd recommend a visit to the farm shop attached to the visitor centre for the Battle of Shrewsbury (a good place to visit if you're interested in history, as well).
I've just had the best beef I've ever had which I bought there a week or so ago. It was a huge T-bone steak, beautifully tender, and with the most incredible flavour - grassy, almost gamey. It had obviously been properly hung and aged and was a joy to eat. I think it's spoilt me for any other beef!
We had a rack of lamb from there as well, also delicious. I had a long conversation with the butcher - he was really helpful, and will butcher stuff for you specially, if you call ahead.
