I just wanted to let you guys know that the previous owners of Pho Dau Bo on International Avenue opened a restaurant on 32nd Avenue N.E called Basil. It's in the strip mall with the red roofs across from Michael's craft store. I went in there after a friend ordered me their vermicelli and I recognized everyone (and some recognized me too....I must have eaten there a lot...). So of course I tried their beef sate pho and I think it's still the same recipe because it tasted good. The difference is that their menu has grown, they added a lot more appetizers and rice dishes as well as a larger vegetarian menu and banh mi too. They don't have a choice between bowls any more if you wanted regular or large, instead all their phos are quite large. The price for a bowl of pho is around the $9.00 mark, but again it is a bigger bowl. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated. It's clean and everyone is still as friendly. There is also more parking as well and it's literally off of 32nd Avenue, just east of Barlow Trail.
