Could Baron Rouge be busier? Second Day

t14072 | Oct 25, 200909:59 AM

We started the morning taking the boat ride under the bastille and through the Canal Saint Martin, What can I say, we are tourists after all? At 12:30 we went to the Bastille Market and bought cheese and pate for snacks. We should have gotten some fruit or vegetable because at home that is what we eat most and we seem to be missing. Walked down Rue Fauborg Sainte Antoine to Ble Sucre but it was closed. I will definitely be back on Tuesday, early (if anyone wants to meet me ther) and on the the Baron Rouge. Holy Cow! I mean holy oysters. What a crowd. The Mister wanted to leave but I said Non we must eat.And we did. We found a table inside and shared a dozen oysters, a plated of pates and salamis, sancerre, and bread. Okay, I was spoiled by yesterday's oysters but what a fun place. Makes you young again, or seem very olds. Left with a cotes du rhone from the barrel for an apertif tonight. Went on to Villages Saint Paul and through the Marais back to the hotel. No plans yet for dinner. Would like something lighter, or even a great soup, but don't know where. Any ideas?
