Finally, decent barbecue near my house! I have had the opportunity to eat barbecue from Connecticut (Wilson's) to South Carolina (Scott's) and Vino9's barbecue can stand with them both. If you like vinegar based Carolina style pulled pork, make the trip out past Leesburg you won't be dissapointed.
I ended up taking out 16 oz of pulled pork, the proprietor said it was 24 hours smoked pork butt. 8 oz of homemade coleslaw, a sweet and sour, crunchy goodness, 8 oz of collard greens and two locally baked brioche buns. It made one of the best pulled pork sandwiches I have had. They also have barbecued chicken, it was sold out when I visited. And I was a little early for their ribs, but I did taste their sauce. A tangy vinger/tomato based concoction with just a hint of sweet. I did get to sample the sauce, and all I can say I cannot wait to taste that on some ribs. A note on the ribs, the propietor told me she only does spare ribs, baby back aficiandos I'm sorry.
The market has quite the assortment of othe food stuffs. Everything from wine and beer to handmade, handpainted chocolates.
If your out in Loudoun wine country definately stop by, and its even worth a car trip, its that good.
