As we approached BAR MINNOW we noticed a coveted outside table that unfortunately was still covered with the refuse of the last diners. We headed inside.We wished we had kept walking though the restaurant is an inviting space with a gorgeous bar. The first bad sign was the slow,unsure service...the beer took 10 minutes to arrive and the bartender had to bring it over. They weren't that busy. The apps were unmemorable, but filling. For the mains,I asked for the fish and chips and my wife had a salad and requested no olives which arrived with extra olives. Looking at my plate, my wife said,"What kind of fish is that?" Well, it wasn't fish after all, but chicken! In a piece in NEW YORK Magazine the owner Alan Bashy said "I want to be the P.J. Clarke's of Park Slope." We asked for the manager who without hesitation took care of the bill.That dirty table...still uncleared a 1/2 hour later when we left...P.J. Clarke's, I don't think so.
