OK, I have tried just about every Vietnamese pork and pate fillings there is, but my latest banh mi obsession is the grilled beef from Mr. Baguette in Rosemead. Their filling is hard to describe but oh-so delicious! The beef has a slight curry tinge and is so tender and flavorful that I find myself devouring two every time! The meat also reminds me of the Cambodian grilled beef kabobs my mom used to make growing up. (You can still find these in Long Beach in select stores.) One more thing: At Mr. Baguette, be sure to get the grilled beef in a sesame baguette for an extra kick.
