I've always liked Banh Mi Che Cali, but always thought their bread, while good, still didn't reach the levels of Top Baguette. And while Top Baguette's fillings were fine, sometimes it was too saucey, and didn't reach the simplicity and greatness of Banh Mi Che Cali. Well, today I got a banh mi (3 for $3) at the Banh Mi Che Cali on Brookhurst. The bread is noticeably darker, and has a crunchier crust, in my opinion, much improved - and the fillings are as great as ever! Hurray! If anyone's tried it recently, do you agree?
