I've seen some discussions about banh mi on this board. It seems like they are the Vietnamese version of hoagies. I've never had them before, but like a good Chowhound, I'm always willing to try something new (except tripe, ewwwww).
Can someone give me a good description of the various types available and where I might find a good place to try one??
I live in South Philly and I assume that the Asian restaurants down here would have them.
