Banfi: Definitely not just good for pizza

On the recommendations of CHers I tried this place this evening and while I liked the pizza and found the salads very nice, the fagioli rapini and clams marinara were extremely tasty. The rapini was firm but not tough, just the right about of bitter (I've had some of late that was dreadfully over-bitter) and the beans had a lovely garlicly flavour. And the clams were sandless with the marinara sauce wonderfully flavourful with onions and deep, sweet tomato and capers to offset the sweet . The only sad thing was all that lovely sauce with nothing to soak it up. The chocolate cake for dessert was just OK; the creme brulee was decent. The decaf coffee was excellent (and at most places, it really tastes like dish water!).

Definitely will go back and try more antipastas and at least one pasta....

Oh, one other thing I didn't like: Non-itemized bill! I just reviewed the menu and realized I had ordered one dish and didn't get it--and because the bill doesn't itemize, I have no idea whether I paid for it. Anyway, next time, I must make notes from the menu, I guess...
