banana Rum macadamia Chocolate chunk Ice Cream

Had a huge glut of bananas I got cheap from an asian market. I threw a bunch in the freezer and then remembered someone on here talking about banana ice cream.

Epicurious had a simple and easy recipe, so I played with it.

4 nanners
1 14-0z can condensed milk
3/4 cup whipping cream
1/4 cup good golden rum
1/2 cup crushed macadamia
1 small bar of sweet dark chocolate broken into little chunks.

In a blender, blend up frozen nanners and condensed milk. Whip the cream to a froth and add the rum. Toss in. Pour into an ice cream maker (I have an attachment for my kitchenaid) and process till nearly done. in the last 3-4 minutes, toss in the macadamias and chocolate.

Put into a container and freeze for several hours.

Serve on top of a yummy crumble such as:

2/3 cup blueberries
2/3 cup blackberries
2/3 cup raspberries
juice of half a lemon
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup sugar

toss lightly to combine and put in a square baking pan. Then prep topping

1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup oats
good handful brown sugar
hearty shake of cinnamon
shuffly shake ginger
1 stick butter, melted
1/3 sup toasted slivered almonds

Combine all topping ingredients and mix with hands (it's fun!) till well blended and crummy. Cover fruit with topping and bake in a 375 degree oven till fruit is bubbly and topping is brown.

let cool just bit, then top with ice cream!
