Baked Marinara Bread

This recipe came to me in a dream last night. Any comments or refinements? Would it work?

Bake a loaf of bread (semolina?) until a few mins shy of doneness

Take out of oven, let cool, remove from loaf pan

Rip off finger sized chunks, salt and lightly coat the chunks via hands coated with olive oil

Compress chunks (not too firmly) into oiled loaf pan, studding with bits of baked garlic and drizzling marina sauce (not too much) over layers.

Bake until the top is dark and crunchy
