Bad Experience a the Red Dog Cafe

Skipper | Jul 17, 2004 07:05 PM

Three of us went to the Red Dog Cafe at around 5 this evening (7/17). There were a few people there when we arrived, but some others arrived shortly thereafter. Initial service was fine. Two of us ordered iced tea and the other a soda. They came promptly, and I think the tea was very good -- interesting taste. Then we ordered a goat cheese appetizer which also came promptly and was excellent although it only came with 4 small triangles of bread and we could have used at least 6, perhaps 8. The white pizza one of us ordered was ok, but just ok -- we've had better. The dinner salad ordered by a second was huge, but nothing special. I had ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a side salad. The side salad was ok, but the dressing could have been better. The pork was dry and bland though I ordered it with barbecue sauce, so I asked for hot sauce (which they didn't have), so I asked for ketchup. 15 minutes later, I was still waiting even though I asked once again. When I tried to intercept the waitress to ask that my cold sandwich be taken away and taken off the bill, she was as rude as rude could be. The manager came over and agreed to remove it from the bill. Before the other two were finished eating, the waitress slammed the bill on the table and the table was being cleared. I also should mention that, though the soda glass was refilled once, we were never offered iced tea refills. So never again.
