Made a trip there this weekend, I live in Wisconsin now but I still love Chicago dining.
This is located on about 23rd and Oakley (just off Western) on the south side of Chicago. The area is known as the "heart of italy" and basically consists of two blocks of authentic family owned italian businesses. Little Italy is more corporate owned I believe.
Bacchanalia is family owned and the dining area is quite small, but the food is highly recommeneded.
Two items that I have not tasted their equal is their Linguini with red clam sauce and the Cappellini Marinara. I also love their seafood salad and the bruschetta appetizer.
The Manicotti was average this weekend , but the above items are delicious. One stumbling block about this place is that they do not accept credit cards, so bring your cash!
