AXE: good for adults and kids!

I had intended to post a question on the board requesting suggestions for delicious lunch/dinner spots on the westside that would accomodate my 15 month old son & myself.....though I hesitated for fear of nasty responses like, "go to chucky cheese" or "leave your kid at home"........

Anyway, yesterday my son & I had a wonderful lunch in Venice at Axe...the staff was very accomodating & provided me with a clean high chair. The minimalist decor is very kid friendly (no table cloths to tug at, no fine glassware set on the tables, no nice carpeting that might get stained, etc.).

The food at Axe was wonderful. My son had a salad of hummus & mixed greens which was served with some tasty homemade bread($4). If he could speak, I'm sure he would have raved! I had a plate of combined salads & meat. It including a salad of beets, avocado, fennel & red onion ($4); a lentil salad laced with cumin ($4); and a seared piece of salmon ($6). The food was plentiful, delicious & reasonably priced.

I'm thrilled that we tried Axe yesterday & we will return soon. Though, if you have any other suggestions I'd love to hear about them.
