my girlfriend and i, two quirky kids, are visiting d.c. on april 5-9. i was given a few suggestions on where to eat and a collegue is taking us to the old ebbitt grill, but i'm really curious as to some neat, neighborhoodish places and off the beaten path restaurants. any kind of food really (the more eclectic, the better), although she doesn't handle spicy foods well.
i've been told to visit jaleo, clyde's, and 21 P(?). i come from a chinese family, so i was also told to eat at full kee for congee, golden palace for dim sum, and tony cheng. i don't know if these names are all correct or if they're still open, but any help would be appreciated.
oh, and we wanted to find a great sushi place. thanks everyone!
