ATL chow

A Jan. road trip to FL from Upstate NY led to many pleasant surprises. My main goals are good, authentic chow, good value, & BYOB. Here a few Atlanta discoveries:

1) El Encuentro Centroamericano Restaurant & Buffet (Jonesboro south of the airport). Newly opened. All of the above goals were met & then some. Very nice Honduran people.

2) Pig n' Chix (2 NE locations) deserves its accolades. BYOB -- I wish.

3) Chef Liu (Buford Hiway) Whoever wrote this is the best Chinese in the US is smoking funny cigarettes. What we had was very good but this resto has only dumplings, Chinese breakfast(!), & noodles. No mains as we westerners think of them. Whassup?? Most of the dumpling dishes are portioned in 10s or 12s, not good for singles & small groups. BYOB.

4) Da Loi (Jonesboro near ATL Expo Center) has good, consistent Vietnamese, good value, BYOB. Dined there twice.
