There have been other posts about Atellier Crenn but I just wanted to add that not only is it one of my all time favorite restaurants because of the food, it is also the experience. The meal starts with a poem each verse describes the course. Each course is visually stunning, from what the dishes are placed on, I'm purposely not using the word plating since a good majority of the dishes were in Shells, or Boxes, or branches. Even eucalyptus branches were used to serve ice cream. I had all the intention of taking pictures however I was so intrigued with the presentation and the dishes I forgot. It was like being a kid in a candy store. We did the wine pairing and the choices were perfect. In a weird sort of way eating here was like Christmas . You get a pretty package, figure out the wrapping, but you don't know what you get until you open it or in this case put it in your mouth. So that being said for anyone who besides loving great food, but appreciates, creative yet subtle presentation you have to go to Atelier Crenn. As for the food the flavors were sublime. I was going to list some of the major components but when I looked at the list it sounded very savory and heavy. Yes it was savory, but everything was delicate and balanced. Even the flatbread was like toasted tissue paper with the taste of bread without the heaviness. There are many restaurants that are over stylized or tries too hard to be creative,Atelier Crenn just seems to flow with elegant ease.
