astoria brazilian

I spent the day celebrating with way too many caiperinhas (so forgive erraticness) but.... my favorite feijoada chef is back!!

After moving out of cantina brasil in astoria, Lina opened a great place in Huntington. The neibhorhood, a veritbale chow desert, yawned and nobody came.

she went out of business and broke my heart, but for lunch today I went to cantina brasil and found that Lina is back and has renamed it "Catina Lina"!!! it's at 30 street and broadway, on the street just north of broadway. it's miniscule, mostly for tekaeout but it'sstill lina's cooking. She aslso makes bacalau, portuguese style 9she IS portugues), though only one day a week.

I'm so happy. Though everyone take note that drinking and taking the 7 train do NOT mix. too many curves.

soo happy
