After reading about Grand Central and Jack's below, just want to report that good ol' Aquagrill is still firing on all cylinders. All tables full for brunch yesterday, even at 2PM. Pristine oysters (Royal Miyagi, Kumamoto, Westcott Belon, Sister Point, Hama-Hama) as always, full of flavor. Not rich enough to spring for the special crab sampler ($65!) but did shell out for the Maine crab claws ($20 for 4) - sweet and tender and made us look enviously at the lady next to us who did get the sampler.

Pesto fettuccine featured very fresh basil with shrimp that were 5 seconds away from underdone - just right! Chocolate sampler plate (a standby) still fine with a perfect little scoop of white chocolate mousse. Add in the fresh juices and warm scones in the bread basket...and I sound just like a shill! Complaints? Prices creeping up - smaller of the two plateaux was around $80, IIRC. And, cramped and crowded, as it's always been.
