I wanted to share my experience with the pick your farms in the Hudson Valley region. In less than 1.5 from NYC, there are many great farms in Orange County and Dutchess. I have been to several farms and one specific one several times since July. The best one I have been to was Weed Orchards which has a variety of vegetables/fruits which is hard for many farmers.
The peaches, squash, eggplant, cucumbers, peppers and nectarines have been unbelievable and very inexpensive that now I make this trip every two weeks which has replaced my supermarket visits for veggies and fruits.
