I was poking around the board looking for Thanksgiving cocktail inspiration. In one discussion, I found this link:

My question is, why add the club soda? It seems you have the fizz with the prosecco, so doesn't the soda just dilute things? It's not like the other two ingredients are so powerful they could use some dilution.

I've seen the "splash of club soda" other places and wondered the same thing, so I thought this time I'd ask!
