We took some out of town houseguests to Antico Forno last night. Mostly good....fried calamari some of the best I've ever had. Nice semolina coating works exceptionally well, served with a citrus honey vinagrette drizzle. My daughter's linguini con vongole also wins rave reviews here. I am disappointed with some preparations, as I find them too watery, causing the pasta to be bland. Theirs had lots of body and clung well, and the clams were perfectly cooked...each one was a little mouthful of the ocean! But, alas, the Marguerita pizza was a disaster IMHO. The promised bufalo mozzarella was nowhere to be seen, a few chinzy threads of basil and very bland. Crust ok, could be thinner/crisper for my tastes. We actually inquired about the bufalo, and the waitress said alot of people ask. She claims they "squeeze all the water out and put it through the shredder", but assured us it was bufalo mozz. Well, after you ruin it like that, it's hardly what I expect to get from the menu description....really disappointing. So overall, a good place, just not for pizza.
