For the past month, I have been feasting on delicious breakfast and lunch food at a new food concession truck called Anne Marie's Luncheonette. It is located in the parking lot of Wild Bill's Nostalgia on Newfield Street (Rt 3), which is a pretty great store in itself. Anne Marie's trailer fronts on the road.
My favorite is her "Corntastic", a grilled cheese type sandwich made of cheese in between a sweet corn based pancake. In South America, they call these Arepas. She also has great hot dogs and chicken strips, unbreaded. On hot days, her smoothies and fresh squeezed lemonade go down real easy. She told me that she also does a few fairs featuring the Corntastic, including the Durham fair.
She also makes a great egg & sausage sandwich that puts a McMuffin to shame.
By the way, Anne Marie is a young, friendly, really cute blonde Middletown native, worth the trip just to talk with her. She has some great stories and a great pair of....eyes.
She even has a web site with her picture on it. I included it below. Check out that smile.
Good luck and tell her Jerry sent you.
