I and others have posted before about Anna's, especially their freshly made shrimp and beef cheung fun (rolled rice sheets). I particularly enjoyed their breakfast special of cheung fun plus pork and preserved duck egg congee for $3.50. They have undergone renovations and reopened this week as Anna's Fast Food with the typical menu items of rice plates and noodles. I haven't tried it yet but we have a lot of such places in Chinatown and I bemoan the loss of the breakfast special and the cheung fun. There may be some interesting items among the chef's specialities like taro with dried duck, bitter melon and pork belly, and stir fried crab wth turnip cake. I am concerned that they have french fries among their appetizers. Not a good sign.
