I have an upcoming week-long trip to Ann Arbor for business. I'm interested in any recs the local chowhounds might have.
Some specifics: food in places high and low (mostly low, as I'm on budget, and interested in diversity, but I'll be able to splurge for a couple of meals). I will eat just about anything, but I'm especially interested in local specialities and I'll go out of my way for hidden gems. Also, thoughts on local breweries and wineries are especially welcome.
I did some scanning through the board and the following look interesting, but I'd love to know any differing opinions, or if there's anything I'm seriously overlooking. Thanks!
In Ann Arbor:
-Zingerman's (sound like there's a love-hate relationship with this place so I'll probably try it just to see for myself).
-Raja Rani and Shalimar
-what else am I missing?
Dearborn: I'd really like to find some authentic Middle Eastern places!
-New Yasmeen bakery
-Sidetrack (fried pickles? really?)
How are these places? What am I missing? Help me out, hounds!
