4 of us had brunch at Angie's kitchen off of Roosevelt on 54th Street on Sunday and thought the food was really good.
The owner is quite congenial, he used to work at Norma's at the Parker Meridien hotel in midtown and obviously learned quite a bit.
He sent over a gratis appetizer to the table which was a quarter of a belgian waffle with warm bananas in sauce on top. Terrific start.
I got the very berry french toast and loved it. My friend had the blueberry pancakes and thought they were great.
Service can be slow as they claim to make each order as it arrives in the kitchen. Staff is friendly and helpful. They had live music (a guitarist), I believe.
Give it a shot..has anyone had dinner there?
