For over a year we have been thinking we needed to give Andina another try. We ate there the first month it was open and were not very impressed. Tonight, we got a babysitter and debated whether to go to an old favorite (Park Kitchen), an intriguing newcomer (Sel Gris) or the restaurant we hear so often we have to try (Andina). We went to Andina and while our meal was fine, it was not exceptional. And frankly, the cost of the meal at Andina is the same as it is at some of the finest restaurants in town.
We ordered four small plates and shared a main course which were either over-cooked, over-prepared or had too many ingredients. It seems like they aim to wow customers with the exotic more than they desire to make quality food. We've had much better meals at Autentica for a fraction of the cost and at Park Kitchen and Paley's Place for the same price. Is there something we missed?
