Amelia's in Bay Ridge

Just had to post that my sister and I went to Amelia's on Saturday night based on this board's recommendations, and we had a lovely meal. We started by sharing fried calamari and figs stuffed with cheese over a bed of prosciutto and arugula. The sweetness of the figs was countered by the slight tartness of the cheese. delish! My sister loved the calamari, but I thought it wasn't as light as it could be. It was still delicious though. We both chose specials for entrees- I had the veal cheap- grilled and juicy. The side of broccoli rabe was great- tons of sauteed garlic. My sister had the lamb chops which were also a hit with her- though I prefer my lamb chops with a little less sauce. We finished with a dessert of flourless chocolate cake and the waiter gave us some tartuffo as well. One of the best parts was the atmosphere- the service and staff were fantastic and the outdoor seating was a lovely little escape in bay ridge on such a lovely night. i would definitely recommend this place.
