Please help - allergy concerns

killersmile | Nov 1, 201801:39 PM     12

I have a family trip planned to Japan in December. Unfortunately my mom is having an allergy problem, but we are still unable to diagnose the actual trigger. So for the time being, she is trying to stay away from all food allergens such as wheat, seafood, dairy, soy, nuts. This makes this upcoming trip a major headache as to how to include her within our meals as this eliminates anything that uses eggs, butter, tofu, dashi & soy sauce. The only restaurants I can come up with that she would have little trouble in are yakiniku & yakitori places (as long as she sticks to shio) as well as finding some stuff on the menu at izakayas. Also maybe soba restaurants as long as it is juwari soba without dipping sauce. Does anyone have any other suggestions as to dining options?
