Wow!! My wife and I did the Tour. 25 or so courses, you lose count after a while and there were a couple of additions and subtractions from the menu posted on-line. Sat down at 7:45p and left about 12:30a.
Did the wine parings. 14-15, 1-2 oz. pours, sometimes a little more, and they will also give you some more. A couple of times we asked and a couple of times we didn't have to. About halfway through we were asked if we wanted to "upgrade" our wine parings. We did, and were rewarded with some outstanding wines. Wish I could remember but it was a lot of different wines and a lot of wine in general. I'm not complaning! The parings ran a few dollars more than the cost of the two tours. We felt it was worth it.
We were seated upstairs in the middle room. Very elegant/understated. Lighting levels were just right. Very comfortable seating(it better be for as long as your going to be there).
Service was beyond wonderful. Each new wine came with an explanation which we found to be very helpful and educational. Descriptions of the food were complete as were answers to questions about ingrediants we had never heard of(there were a few!). Obviously, we never felt rushed. We got autographed menus and a tour of the kitchen at the end of the night. I know I'm forgetting to mention something...The FOOD!!!
Amazing, Unforgettable, Inventive, Spectacular, I could go on. With some of the more Ah... different dishes, instructions on how to eat were efficient, helpful never condescending and pretty darn entertaining at times. They weren't above poking a little fun at themselves. In fact, we had a conversation with our waiter on how to describe the cusine. We voted for Space Age American(you'll understand when you eat there!), they offered Progressive American. That all said, I would say that there were maybe 2 of the courses that we felt weren't great but really, I think that was due more to taste buds and personal likes and dislikes than anything else. What I'm saying is that what we didn't like, others surely will.
Standouts included the Bison, King Crab, Hot potato, Kobe beef...I could go on and list the entire menu, but you get the idea. I know this isn't a lot of help for those of you wanting more information on the food. All I can say is, you'll have to try it yourselves.

Did I mention that Adam Clayton and Bono were there?
