i've done a fair amount of research on the health benefits of the avocado, but on one point, i'm puzzled.

my understanding is that they're high in monounsaturated (good) fats but that one whole avocado (which i can polish off without even blinking) has a fair amount of saturated (bad) fat as well -- 1 medium avocado containing 1/4 of one's daily allowance. is this saturated fat equivalent and just as bad for me as other saturated fats?
