Advice for Christmas Dinner in Vancouver

BCTraveler | Nov 8, 2004 03:29 PM

I received some great help on an earlier japanese restaurant question and I am hoping Canadian hounds can give me some advice on where to go for dinner on Christmas Day.

Just as stated on this board, I am finding many of our preferred restaurants closed on Christmas Day and some also closed on the Eve. So we must now choose from either hotel dining rooms or chinese restaurants, unless someone can suggest a good italian or bistro choice that would be open.

For chinese would a party of three, two adults and one 10 year old feel comfortable at Sun Sui Wah, since it seems to cater to larger groups? Would the Imperial Chinese Restaurant be a better choice? How about Pink Pearl?

For hotel dining we are looking at the William Tell Restaurant. Does it have its regular menu on Christmas Day or does it have a special serving? Also considering the restaurant at the Four Seasons although that would probably be more expensive than we would like. Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
