The stuffed mushroom appy came out hot and was tasty enough, but the nachos were both cold and weakly flavored.
For mains, the mixed seafood enchilada special had to be an Anthony Bordain, Kitchen Confidential special - old and ready to be discarded seafood disguised by a smothering overly strong sauce. I am sure this is what put me in such a state of distress post meal.
The fajitas were mearly dry in comparison.
Why, when we live so close to El Meson would we drive out to Matawan for Mexican food? I wish I knew. I guess it's just the spirit of adventure and the desire to try new places, but next time we stay in Freehold.
