I need some serious help stocking up my Asian pantry. I'm heading to 99 Ranch (Northern California) and get overwhelmed with the giant selection. Curious about your favourite brands for: soy sauce, instant dashi, sesame oil, shaoxing, nori, fermented black bean sauce, kimchee, tofu and any other suggestions.
I'm also looking for a really good dumpling from the frozen section (gyoza, pot stickers, shu mai etc.) that doesn't have a long list of unpronounceable ingredients. Vegetarian, fish or meat - all are welcome!
