I searched here and googled, but can't find if there is a true list of fish or recipes.
I'm trying to help out a new, very small local fish market that goes into Boston just about every day.
We got to talking about this, her Italian husband was no help!
Appears not be a Northen Italian custom.
So far I see:
with the rest being various other fish.
Also, I can't find a true meaning of this practice.
Some do 7, others do 11, 13 or more with a whole bunch of possible meainings on the number. All very interesting to say the least.
Actual recipes aren't needed, but if you could supply the fish and the way they should be prepared would be helpful. If indeed it is not an individual preperation.
