My mentor and better Julot/Soup on another thread noted quite correctly that some of us "replay old discussions" here on Chow France and thus (my conclusion) answer the same questions with the same answers day after day.
I realize that over the past 20 years I've transitioned from practically eating only in places tried (by Anglophonic critics and food-nuts) and true, to practically eating only at one or more of the five+ new restos that open each week in the city.
This inevitably leads to disappointments and I can understand why folks want others to test places first before they lay out their hard-earned bucks. But there are enough opportunities to return to old favorites as well as try something new. No?
