5 Guys Chinatown

I got over there at lunch and tried it. Was watching carefully since I have heard some negative (or at least less-than-positive) commentary, which is usual when any good place expands.

To me, it seems to be a pretty classic 5 Guys. Had my usual order (bacon-cheeseburger with my usual toppers). I'd say it's not quite as good as the King St. location (my usual), but was very close. Fries were a bit underdone (maybe due to hurrying up for long lunch lines), and the burger wasn't quite as tasty (they are being overly conservative with the salt shaker). Unlike posting by Sal Monella below however, I thought the quantity of fries was the same. The bacon I must say was really top notch. If King St. is an "A", then this was an A-.

Just my take, FWIW.
