We are planning our first trip to London (July 25-31) before going on to Paris for 5 days. I've not made any reservations yet but just wanted to get some opinions first. We are staying near The Excel Center but we will have our trusty Oyster Card to get around...We pretty much will eat anything. We would like to get a feel for what is available in London. Ethnic food is always an option. And we are not above grabbing something from a local chain especially if it will help us with scheduling a museum stop or shopping adventure.
Sunday - Old Spitalfield's Market for lunch
St. John's - dinner
Monday - Dishoom - breakfast
Wahaca - lunch
Medlar - dinner
Tuesday - Song Que - lunch

Wednesday -E Pellici - breakfast

I have heard good things about Le Pain Quotidien and Paul's Patisserie as far as good for something to get quickly and is of a good quality. True?
On my list of maybe worthy is Lima, Tbilisi, Barnyard
On my list of sights I would like to see
- The British Museum
- Westminster Abbey
- St Paul's
- The Victoria and Albert
- The Tate Modern
Any thoughts here? I would like something nice to end the trip - will that be Lyle's or would something else serve that purpose better?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. And thanks for all the great info on this site - it has been really helpful in planning this trip.
