I normally don't bug the Vegas hounds but this is a somewhat unique experience.
A wedding was supposed to have happened in 2 weeks, but the couple's plans were scuttled. Still, about 40 of us (in the 20-30 something age demographic) had already booked trips so we want to make the most of it.
The challenge is getting 40 or so people to do anything together. Along the same lines, we're all staying in different hotels and all have different agendas. Some are Vegas newbies, some a gamblers, some want the cheap drinks while others want to hit the hot clubs, etc.
We're there from a Fri-Sun and I hope we can at least try to meet up once for a somewhat intimate hour or two... be it a lounge bar, buffet, etc. I don't mean sitting at one table and chatting (hard to do). Nor do I mean hitting a 1,000 person dance club (easier, but useless). In fact, this post is less about the best food (I know LOS, etc) but more about finding a unique place where we can all meet and hang for a while.
For example, is there a swanky old school lounge where a decent sized group could meet at happy hour and not be lost? I'm staying at the Nugget (first time) and was hoping there might be something there or nearbye. I do know they have a lounge (and their site would indicate it's always red hot) but am hoping to get some insider tips on places we might venture at some point over the long weekend without it breaking anyone's bank.
Many thanks in advance for your grand advice.
