The wife and I will be in Paris early November.
Even as I've reserved a dinner at Le Violon d'Ingres as our most high-end dining, we're not much into the haute or new cuisine experience - unless I can expense it or if somebody else is paying. We prefer the bistro-type scene especially where the quality and freshness of food and good choices of wine are not overlooked. We'll be at the 7th Arr. but we're not picky about the restaurant's location (we're comfortable with the Metro, bus and/or reasonable cab-rides) and prefer areas patronized by locals.
I've short-listed a few establishments that we've never visited for 2 of our meals. Please feel free to comment/critique on the list and also to make suggestions: Au Bon Accueil, L'Avant Gout, Le Petit Machon, A La Biche Au Bois.
Right now I'm leaning on the first 2.
As we plan to be in the Marais on a Sunday, we're also looking for suggestions in the area for our fourth meal.
