I hate it that I read chowhound day-in, day-out, have the names/identities of hundres of restaurants at my fingertips but then when I have a specific need to fill, I draw a blank.
So the need is this: graduation dinner, party of 4, likely an early dinner. I am looking more for fun than formal. Reservations (or a guarantee of no wait) is a plus. Maybe a tapas place, but that seems not "fancy" enough...? Maybe fancy mexican (oh yeh that all sucks in this city)? Maybe Artisanal, the cheese is fun but the vibe is stuffy?
I would like to spend $30-$40/person (incl drinks) but I can be convinced to spend more if it is the perfect place.
