After a two-week pause, Monterey Bay salmon season started up again on June 16 and continues till June 30, and is joined by the opening of the season northward up to Point Arena. https://wildlife.ca.gov/Fishing/Ocean...

Prices were very high in May when fish were scarcer than predicted. The exciting news now are reports of schools of King salmon off the coast for easy and abundant harvest. Prices in Monterey Bay and the San Francisco Bay Area have dropped dramatically to $10 to $12 per pound for whole fish purchased directly off the boats in Monterey, Moss Landing, Santa Cruz, Pillar Point and Berkeley harbors with sizes in the 10 to 20-pound range. After payment, the fishers can fillet them for you, usually at no extra charge, so go in with a friend on a purchase or stock your freezer. Some accept Venmo and others only cash. Bring a cooler and ice.

Starting at 10am, 6/26 today, Joe Lucido will be selling at the K Dock in Monterey https://www.chowhound.com/post/live-c... next to the commercial wharf with whole salmon for $12 per pound that he will butcher for you. Here's video of his son Matteo catching salmon on hook and line that shows the concentration of salmon in the water, https://www.instagram.com/p/CQkXKHgBoGb/

F/V Beticia docked in Moss Landing https://www.chowhound.com/post/2020-2... has King salmon today, $15 per pound for whole fish and $22 per pound for fillets. Phone number is 831-229-7373 to check for availability and current prices.

Dave Toriumi will be at the S Dock in Santa Cruz today 6/26 and Moss Landing at the fuel dock tomorrow 6/27 from 10am to 5pm or until sold out. Here's his photo of a hog of a salmon with a huge belly, https://www.instagram.com/p/CQkRtHIpYz6/

Tim Obert will be selling from the F/V Ann https://santacruzclassicseafood.com/ at the Fuel Dock located below the Crow's Nest Beach Market in Santa Cruz tomorrow, Sunday 6/27, from 10am to 4pm (and possibly Monday depending on availability). A special price of $10 per pound if you reserve in advance by email (tim.obert@att.net on FB page), and higher for walk-up sales. https://www.instagram.com/p/CQlUhxPrdiY/

Salmon Mara at the Berkeley Marina slip 109 has 100+ whole fish for $11 per pound, cash only, from "7 to 9pm", according to its posting on the FishLine. (Unclear whether the starting time is 7am when the post was made or 7pm, see screenshot)

Paulina at the Slip D-11, Pillar Point, has whole salmon for $10 per pound, cash only, per the FishLIne.

Giovanni's Fish Market in Morro Bay is hosting its Annual Dock Sale tomorrow 6/27 starting at 8am. Customers often start lining up an hour before opening and it's usually sold out by noon. Whole King salmon are $9.99 per pound, cash only. https://www.giosfish.com/post/annual-...
