2 Questions regarding cheese and pate

Where can I find really good take out pate in Manhattan? I live on the Upper West Side and thought it would be a no brainer with Zabars and Citarella around the corner, but their lame prepackage samplings in the refrigerated section left me really disappointed.

Also, I have a question only a real cheese expert can answer. I was at Orsay yesterday enjoying wine and a cheese plate and found one cheese particularly delicious. However, the bartender didn't know what it was and seemed less than willing to go back to the kitchen to investigate. It was very close to the consistency of brie (maybe SLIGHTLY firmer, but spreadable, more yellow and a stinkier cheese than most brie. I don't really mean stinky in terms of smell, but more in the gamey stinky feet flavor a cheese can have. Which I know sounds disgusting, but believe me, it was deelish. Cheese lovers will understand. While I understand that narrowing down to the brand is impossible, can anyone out there name that cheese???

Thanks.
