I really love the Kingfield neighborhood- so many great places to eat. I was at Corner Table recently when they rolled out the new menu. We tried almost all the appetizers and they were delicious. I especially loved the pumpkin flan- it was spicy and sweet, beautifully presented and totally different than what I expected, in a good way. Had the braised rabbit for dinner and it was fantastic. Everyone at the table raved about the entrees. But my favorite thing was something I didn't order (next time the server recommends a dish, I'll listen). It was a maple syrup panna cotta- so amazingly good that I basically stole half of my tablemate's dessert.
Today the SO and I had brunch at Kings. I haven't been a huge fan of Kings in the past but they recently changed chef's and it was open and walkable in this crazy snow so we went in. Both ended up ordering the benedict of the day, which happened to be chorizo hash. Oh my god, it was delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the hash had just the right amount of spiciness, the little round of hash browns (recommended by server) was the right compliment. We got a side of toast with homemade jam that was devoured. I've been converted into a fan- we seriously considered just staying there through dinner since the specials sounded so good.
