We cannot find this recipe anywhere in the house. Believe the dog ate it. It was from the NYT Magazine section, approximately in 1976, and it was a recipe that included sour cream, Crisco, baking chocolate mixed with sugar and cinnamon layered into the dough. It called for something like a half million cups of flour, a little less of sugar, and a wad of Crisco. It made the VERY BEST coffee cake and it's been a family New Year's Day tradition for breakfast. I have truly missed it this morning. If anybody has a copy of it, please, please, please post it. I'll name the next dog after you if you can come up with it. Thanks!!!
