I just got a shipment of Texas 1015 sweet onions. They're not quite as sweet as Vidalias and less watery. They can be used on salads or in regular cooking. Texans love to grill them.
Anyway, several of the onions have mushy spots and will need to be cooked in the next couple days. Anyone have an easy soup or main-dish idea that will use 9 soft-ball sized onions?
I read on this board that you can caramelize onions in the crockpot. Can those caramelized onions be frozen for later use?
Has anyone made french onion soup with 1015s?
